Autumn Fun

This past weekend was such a wonderful time to be outside here. The leaves were falling off of the trees behind our apartment, and it looked so much fun to go play in. We took the kids outside for a little while, before it got too cold and we had to come back in.
This is the view outside our patio doors.Madeline throwing leaves into the air

On Saturday we went with some of our friends to Grisamore farms, again, and got pumpkins for Halloween.
Scott and Madeline each got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home (with Mom and Dad's help so we didn't come home with rotten pumpkins).
The husband's wanted to take pictures while my friend, Melanie, and I posed for a picture with all the kids. Trying to get all five kids happy and looking at the camera at the same time is quite a task. We had fun though!

Afterwards, we were going to carve all the pumpkins together, but the kids just played and the adults sat and talked, and we just ran out of time. Oh, well. We still have a week and a half to make Jack -o'- Lantern's out of the pumpkins!

That looks like a fun place! We haven't done our pumpkins yet either. We're going to do it next Monday. Fun times!

What beautiful grandchildren. The fall colors are gorgeous but it will probably be white by the time we get there.

Is is colder there than here Melissa? We have been really warm and want the cold crispness that comes with fall. Looks beautiful.

I'm jealous of your seasons, although I probably won't be jealous of all of your freezing snow. We are still in the 90's during the day, here in Gilbert AZ. I'm so ready for the sun to go away. I'll be soooo happy for cooler weather. Enjoy yours!!
