This past week Dave finished his first term of the semester and had three days off before the next term starts on Monday. We wanted to do some fun things with the kids while Dave had a break, and we had heard that they had a fun museum for kids in Rochester, N.Y. So we drove up there this past Wednesday, and the kids had so much fun! We were at the Museum of Play for about five hours (until closing) and we could have stayed another five! They had so much for the kids to play with!

Here is Madeline in dress up clothes on a mini stage for the kids. The kids could control the lights on the stage and "video" the performance as well.

Here's Mr. Dylan having fun in his stroller.

Scott and Madeline are here playing in rock salt, although it looks like sand.

Here is Madeline "cooking" in a kitchen that was a replica of one in pioneer times.

They had a mini grocery store in the museum and the kids got to go in and push little shopping carts around, and go grocery shopping. After they got their food, the got to "check it out", and they even got a grocery receipt when they were done!

Here is a family picture of us sitting on the steps of the Sesame Street exhibit.

Even Dave got into the spirit of the play! He was making music by hitting on the pipes with the bottom of a flip flop sandal.

Madeline was Cinderella in her pumpkin carriage.

They also had a Butterfly Garden there. You could go in and see hundreds of butterflies and moths up close. It was really humid inside.

Here is Dave standing next to a moth that was on the tree in the Butterfly Garden. Can you believe how big that thing is? Good thing that one didn't land on any of us!
Below is also a video of Madeline and Scott dancing.
We had so much fun there! Too bad it is two hours away, so we can't go all that often, but I am sure we will have to go again sometime! The kids had so much fun, and the drive up there this time of year was so pretty! We hope everyone is doing well!

That place sounds a looks like so much fun. You'll have to tell me about it sometime so that we can go. How much was it?
