Our visit with Grandma Vinnie and Aunt Kim

So, this past week Dave's mom, Vinnie, and his sister, Kim came to visit. While here, we went to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center one day. It was kind of like a big farm. The kids loved it.

They had a garden area there, where you could go in and see what was growing, just don't pick any of the food!:)

Turkey's were walking all around in there. Madeline was a little hesitant after her run in with a turkey a year and a half ago.:) For those who don't know, a turkey bit her finger when she was about 3 1/2. It scared her more then anything, she didn't actually get hurt. Anyway, it was kind of cool to see them in the garden wondering around.
Here was a big, fat pig trying to stay cool in the hot and humid weather.

Dylan loved all the animals, especially the horses. When we were in Philadelphia last weekend, they had many horse drawn carriages there, and Dylan got quite excited whenever we saw one.

A little alligator, or crocodile, came up to say hello. Good thing he was behind glass!

The next day we headed to the park early in the morning, to beat the hot and humid part of the day. Unfortunately while we were there, Scott got his first bee sting, right on his lip! You can kind of see it swollen in the picture. Poor little guy. My kids already hate any bugs that fly, so this does not help matters!:) The next day the swelling was down, and we had no bad side effects, so I guess that means he is not allergic. Hopefully we don't have a repeat of any bee stings anytime soon.

Last, but not least, I had to post this. My kids have been very good this summer to play with each other, since we are not by all their friends. But this one takes the cake. We went to a 50's style restaurant while Vinnie and Kim were here, and they served the kids meals in little paper cadillac's. So here is Madeline's Polly Pockets, getting a ride in the pink cadillac from Scott's Optimus Prime transformer. Where were they going you ask? Target, of course!:)

I love that last pic! Target is the best place to go. ;)

Hey, as for my blog...it's private so it won't update on your page. You just have to check every now and then. Sorry about that! I'll be posting more soon.

Looks like you had a good time with Dave's mom and sister. There's so much to see and do back there. So sorry about Scott's bee sting. I too love the last picture. It's just too cute and creative.
