Quick Utah Trip

At last minute, we decided to make a visit to UT during Scott and Madeline's spring break.  It was a quick trip.  We spent three days driving (round trip) to get there and spent a total of 72 hours in UT.  But we fit lots in! We got there on a Saturday evening for dinner, and then visiting with family.  On Sunday was church, a family dinner, and more hanging out with the family.  Monday, we went to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway in the AM.  Here are the kids playing at the construction zone there.

After the museum, we met my sister, Lara, and her daughter, Marissa, at Tai Pan Trading for lunch and some shopping.  My idea of a great day.:)  Too bad I forgot to take any pictures of us at Tai Pan.

That evening, we had dinner at Cafe Rio (WHOO HOO!!!!), and then Family Home Evening with cousins.  Laurel planned a great lesson for the kids, getting them ready to listen to General Conference for our church the next weekend.

The next day, Tuesday, we headed down to Provo and BYU to look around our old stomping grounds.  And, of course, no trip to Provo would be complete without eating at Brick Oven.  The kids still remembered that old barber chair they had to sit in there.  After lunch, we headed back to Dave's parent's house, packed, and once again hit to road for home.  Such a fast trip and many people we would have liked to take the time to visit with if it had been longer.  Hopefully, next time.  We had so much fun playing with cousins and family.  It was definitely worth all the time driving in the car to get there.:)
