Fireworks

When the parade was over, we all went home to take a nap, except poor daddy who had to go to work for a few hours. Then we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Harker's for KFC. We hung out there for a while until it started to get a little darker and then headed to Thanksgiving Point for the fireworks. While there, a nice man sitting behind us gave Scott and Madeline some glow sticks, which kept them entertained until the fireworks started. The fireworks were quite entertaining. Last year, Madeline was terrified of the fireworks and had to sit in the car with her Aunt Kim. This year she started off on my lap, but after a minute or so, got up and ran to the stroller where she climbed as best she could into Dylan's car seat and put both visors around her. We all had a good laugh watching her trying to fit her whole body into the small car seat. Scott liked to watch the fireworks, but thought they were too loud and covered his ears while watching them. Next year I am sure we will have a screaming toddler (Dylan) who will be terrified as well. Speaking of, I wonder where we will be to watch the fireworks then. Well, it was a good 4th of July. We hope everyone had a fun and safe Independence Day. Now I must get back to all the things we still have to do before moving to Ithaca, NY. It's hard to believe that in less then a month we will be there!

OH how fun! Zach is the same as Scotty...he covered his ears the whole time! But, at least this year he managed to keep his eyes *open*!
